Anaconda Bicycles is a brick and mortar bicycle shop that opened in April of 2022 with the goal to bring the bicycle community together and incite adventure into every curious bike rider around. The store is located in historic downtown Anaconda, MT, just minutes away from a multitude of recreational opportunities and surrounded by great paths and trails for all levels of riding.
Owners, Matt and Emily, are outdoor enthusiasts through-and-through. They have a strong passion for sharing the outdoor experience with those around them. The adventurous team made Anaconda their home in May 2019 and have committed themselves to enjoying every bit of what this beautiful town has to offer.
Matt Johnson
Bicycles are more than just a career for this guy. He eats, sleeps, and breathes bikes. When he is not out riding the dirt roads of Southwest Montana or the downhill terrain of the local bike park, Matt is learning about the newest trends and technology in the bicycle industry. He is a master at racing downhill trails but also enjoys endurance adventure rides... and really any ride that involves two wheels for that matter.
With over 10 years of bike mechanic and management experience, Matt's reason to continue to do what he does remains simple: to spread the joy of bicycle riding!
emily adams
While not as experienced of a rider as her counterpart, Emily has quickly gained the skills she needs to keep up with her other half. She enjoys the sense of accomplishment she receives from finishing a difficult ride and more importantly the sense of community and wonderful people bike riding has brought into her life.
You will see Emily around the shop, keeping Matt on track and organized, as this is her forte! She also enjoys empowering others to take a chance and try something new. We all have to start somewhere!
